Dice Material Guide

Choose the feel that fits your table

Dice are more than random number tools. The material changes the weight, sound, finish, and the way a set feels in your hand. MarsDice focuses on four common tabletop choices: metal, resin, gemstone, and acrylic.

Metal dice

Metal dice feel substantial, roll with a satisfying sound, and are often chosen for dramatic campaign moments or gift-ready sets. Use a dice tray or padded surface to protect both the dice and your table.

Resin dice

Resin dice are loved for color depth, suspended effects, shimmer, and fantasy-inspired details. They are lighter than metal and work well for players who want personality without extra weight.

Gemstone dice

Gemstone-style dice are collectible and decorative. They can feel cool, polished, and special at the table. Because harder materials may chip if dropped on hard surfaces, a padded rolling surface is recommended.

Acrylic dice

Acrylic dice are lightweight, practical, and easy to bring to every session. They are a good everyday choice for new players, travel kits, and anyone who wants clear numbers with less weight.

Care notes

Keep dice dry, avoid high heat and harsh chemicals, and store each set separately where possible. Small, heavy, pointed, or decorative tabletop accessories should be kept away from young children and pets.
